LOWER TOWNSHIP _ A North Cape May man has been charged with possession of stolen property, burglary, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Patrolman C.J. Ryan arrested Brian Walton, 24, at 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 1 after seeing him riding a bicycle on Croydon Drive and identifying him as a “person of interest” in recent burglaries in the neighborhood.
Electronic devices Walton had in his possession were traced to recent burglaries from motor vehicles, police said. Walton was taken to the Cape May County jail, with bail set at $20,000.
Police are urging residents keep cars locked, remove valuables from them and park in well-lighted areas.
