For the annual celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday reading of Cat in the Hat, the Woodbine Elementary School has come up short on readers this year.

The program, slated for March 7, starts off with an assembly at 9 a.m., followed by readings in each of the classrooms.

“Grandparents and retirees from the community are especially being asked to volunteer. I myself will be a reader again this year, along with my continuing activities under the Mayors Book Club,” said Mayor William Pikolycky.” Our local PTA will be providing coffee and muffins for all guest readers at 8:30 am that morning.”

Anyone interested should call the school librarian Judy Casper at (609) 861-5174 x 225.
