LOWER TOWNSHIP — Authorities are still searching for the suspect in a Tuesday morning shooting that left a 44-year-old Villas man dead.

Chris Turner was shot sometime before 12:10 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Ellery Road after what police have said was a physical altercation with another man identified as Bernard E. Green, 30, also of the Villas.

Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor said Wednesday that there were no new developments in the case.

Green has been charged with murder, weapons offenses and hindering an investigation. A second man, Kyle L. Timmons, 21, is also charged with hindering.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135, Lower Township Police at 609-886-1619, Cape May County Crime Stoppers at 609-465-2800 or the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department 411 tip-line by texting 847411. They also can leave an anonymous tip at www.cmcsheriff.net.
