WILDWOOD - An investigation into drug sales around the city led to two arrests earlier this week.

On Tuesday, April 22, police pulled over Joemar Burgos, 21, of Wildwood, along New Jersey Avenue.

When police searched his car they allegedly found marijuana and heroin prepackaged for street level sales.

During the search a .25 caliber handgun, additional narcotics, syringes and other paraphernalia and $1,700 in cash were recovered.

Burgos was charged with obsession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 100 feet of a school, possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of certain public property, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while involved in illicit narcotic sales, possession of oxycodone, possession of lorazepram and several minor charges.

He was sent to Cape May County Correctional Facility on $220,000 bail.

Police also charged, but have not yet arrested, Marilyn Burgos, 38.
