Moore on dean’s list at Coastal Carolina
Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., has released names of students who earned the dean’s list status for the spring 2013 semester, including Nicole Moore, of Cape May, a junior exercise and sport science major. To qualify for the dean’s list, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.
Students on dean’s list at York College
The following local students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at York College of Pennsylvania: Salvatore Orlando, of Avalon, a sophomore political science major; Austin Parker, of Cape May, a sophomore criminal justice major; Aleisha Kehm, of Cape May Court House, a senior mass communication major; Ryan Minarik, of Cape May Court House, a senior business administration major; and Morgan Tozour, of Cape May Court House, a sophomore nursing major.
Alulis graduates from U. of Scranton
The University of Scranton conferred 1,735 degrees — the largest number of degrees in its history – at two commencement ceremonies this weekend, including more than 900 bachelor and associate degrees at its undergraduate commencement May 26 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Graduates included Sarah K. Alulis, of Cape May Court House, who earned a bachelor of bcience in community health education.
Taylor graduates from Millersville
Traci Taylor, of North Cape May, was among the 1,110 students who graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania during the spring 2013 undergraduate commencement ceremony held May 18 in Millersville’s Biemesderfer Stadium at Chryst Field. Taylor earned a B.A. degree in English.
Collins graduates from Marist College
Melanie Collins, of Rio Grande, received a masters degree in public administration from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the weekend of May 24.
Church receives BJU Legacy Scholarship
Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., recently announced the latest recipients of the BJU Legacy Scholarship, Emily Church, of Cape May Court House. The BJU Legacy Scholarship is awarded to students who have at least one parent who graduated from BJU.
Ridler on dean’s list at Florida Tech
Morgan Ridler, of Wildwood Crest, an oceanography major at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Fla., was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester, which ended in May.
To be included on the dean’s list, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade-point average of at least 3.4.
Boehret on dean’s list at Delaware Valley
Dr. Bashar Hanna, Delaware Valley College’s vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, announced that Jacob Boehret, of Cape May, has been named to the spring 2013 dean’s list.
Wetty earns degree from U. of Sciences
Dean Wetty, of Cape May Court, received a bachelor of science in pharmaceutical and health care studies degree from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and continues on a path towards a doctor of pharmacy degree.
Stauffer earns law degree at Widener
The Harrisburg, Pa., campus of Widener Law recently celebrated the spring commencement of its 22nd graduating class. Graduates receiving Juris Doctor degrees included Tarin Stauffer, of Wildwood.
