VENTNOR — Police have arrested a man in connection with nine home burglaries and thefts, most on the beach blocks from Cambridge to Fredericksburg avenues

Police Chief Michael Miller said the department’s Detective Bureau arrested Julio Mora, 39, of Atlantic City, on Friday on nine charges of burglary and theft, all of which occurred between mid-winter and spring 2013.

Mora allegedly gained access into the homes by prying open windows and doors, resulting in the theft of more then $20,000 of valued property, Miller said.

“It’s very frustrating when this type of serial activity occurs, but the department continues to work, even well after the fact, to identify and apprehend those responsible,” Miller said.

Mora was released on $20,000 bail.

The cases were investigated by Detective Lieutenant Steven Ireland and Detectives Ted Bergman and Thomas Schallus.
