Congregation remembers Friedman

Congregation Beth Judah will mark the second anniversary of Debbie Friedman’s death (yahrtzeit) at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 with its monthly Beth Judah Alive at the temple, 700 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ventnor.

This monthly service regularly features the Beth Judah Alive! Band.

For more information call 609-822-7116.

Friedman’s name is familiar to many worshippers at Beth Judah; she was a singer/songwriter, and taught people how to sing and enjoy it.

Congregation Beth Judah will also celebrate Tu Bishvat with a community Seder at 10 a. m. Feb. 3. Fruits and nuts are eaten, passages from the Bible and other literature are read, and songs and stories are shared.

All are welcome to join in the celebration. The cost is $2 per person.
