Baking workshops for children offered

Each Friday in the summer, children and their parents can bake the traditional Jewish bread called challah. These workshops were offered by Chabad at the Shore at their Krafts for Kids location in Margate, until Hurricane Sandy damaged the shore.

This year, Chabad has announced that challah baking will continue at a new location, in the gazebo at the corner of Ventnor and Essex avenues, at 10 a.m. every Friday through the summer.

Children learn how to mix the ingredients for challah dough, and the special method of braiding the dough. The workshop is open to the entire community regardless of religion or background. Call Tova Rapoport at 609-992-4900 for more information and to RSVP.
