Step up for Arc walk set for Oct. 27
The Ventnor Boardwalk is the site of the Arc of Atlantic County’s Step Up for the Arc fundraising walk, to take place at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 27. The event draws hundreds of walkers who come out to help raise money to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families. Walkers who raise $50 or more will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt featuring the sponsors’ names.
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at St. James Parish, 6415 Atlantic Ave. The walk is the length of the Ventnor boardwalk and back (about 3.4 miles), but participants can walk as much or as little as they like. The post-walk party will begin at 11 a.m. and will feature a complimentary lunch, music, dancing, and activities with the Rainforest Cafe’s Cha!Cha! the Red-Eyed Tree Frog. Free parking is available on Atlantic Avenue.
Artists wanted for show
Artists are sought for the Ventnor Winter Fine Art and Craft Show, which will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 10 and 11 at the Ventnor City Cultural Center, 6500 Atlantic Ave.
