Dinner and movie at JCC
Come to the Milton and Betty Katz JCC for a special Dinner and Movie Event on Sept. 24. The event includes meal with salad, soup, entree and dessert. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. and is followed by a movie on the JCC’s big screen. This month is “The Great Gatsby” with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Reservations should be made at least a week in advance and paid for either in person or by phone with a credit card. The early bird cost is $15 for JCC members and $18 for nonmembers until one week before the event; after that, the price increases to $18/members, $21/nonmembers. High Holiday Survival Course set
Chabad at the Shore, in conjunction with the Jewish Learning Institute, will offer a special holiday education series to the community.
The High Holiday Survival Course has three parts and explores the esoteric and kabalistic meaning behind these special days.
The course takes place on three Sundays beginning Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Chabad Ventnor Shul, 6412 Ventnor Ave. The suggested donation is $18 per student. The lessons will be presented by Rabbi Avrohom Rapoport.
