Congregation Beth Judah hosts events

Congregation Beth Judah, 700 N. Swarthmore Ave. in Ventnor, presents events for the community.

Dr. Joshua Kulp, son of Linda and Cantor Ed Kulp, will return to Congregation Beth Judah on Aug. 24 to be a teacher. He will deliver the D’var Torah during the course of Shabbat morning services. He is a founder of the Conservative Yeshiva in Jerusalem, and the the author of the Schechter Haggadah; his newest publication is Mishnah Sukkah. Services begin at 9 a.m. Attendees will celebrate with Nora Abel, who will chant the Haftarah on the anniversary of her Bat Mitzvah, and the Peskoe family will celebrate the smachot that occurred in their family this summer. Kiddush luncheon will follow services.

At 7 p.m. Aug. 26, Rabbi Aaron Gaber will hold the second session in ‘A Taste Of Judaism.’ Registration is required. All are welcome, Jewish or not. For more information, call Gaber at 609-822-7116, ext. 101.

On Oct. 6, Beth Judah will be devoted to showing you how to plan the best party, event, wedding, bar or bat mitzvah, or lifetime milestone. There is still room for vendors. Call Nicole Harris at 609-816-1966.
