Holtzman Gallery is an upscale fine art gallery, with original fine art such as sculpture, paintings, limited-edition museum-quality prints, art glass and art metal.

There are Erte limited-edition sculptures, metal sculpture by Florida artist John Allen and female torso metal sculptures by Holly Lentz, of Las Vegas.

I also have metal wall art by Brian M. Jones, from San Diego. That’s a three-dimensional abstract work with interesting metal grindings and color.

We also have Kosta Boda and Orrefors limited-edition, signed glass art.

Among many artists we exhibit are Yaacov Agam, Jan Balet, Salvador Dali, Michael Godard and my late father, Alex G. Holtzman. I also have works exhibited.

My father did abstracts in oil and acrylics. My work is all over the place — pop art, images of famous people, wood sculptures of humorous caricatures and nudes in different mediums.

We also have an amazing self-portrait by Anthony Quinn, the actor. I have a suite of four drawings by John Lennon, reproduced in limited edition right after he passed away.

And there are works by Peter Max, Thomas McKnight, Leroy Neiman and a local artist from a well-known family who goes by the name of Andre Superstar.

We also have rare sports and historical collectibles. My father was an avid collector, and we have signed baseballs by Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams, also signed bats and some commemorative coins.

Entry: I have an ad agency and have done art in that business since 1973. Art college trained me in painting and drawing as much as advertising art.

I had a one-man show at Wanamaker’s in 1975, and did illustration work for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Bulletin, as well as book jacket illustrations and murals in Philadelphia.

I figured it was time to do my dream, so that’s what I’m doing. I saw there was an opportunity for a quality gallery in this market.

The future: We’re having the Bob Sterling Trio play for our grand opening from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and we’ll have a tasting of cheese, chocolates and wine. I’ll do another opening celebration in July for the summer people.
