A 22-year-old Margate man was arrested Sunday fon charges of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
Charles G. Kulzer was arrested and charged with second-degree sexual assault on a minor, fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and third degree endangering the welfare of a child, police said in a release.
Kulzer allegedly met the girl over the Internet and invited her to his residence on Friday night where police said he served her alcohol and assaulted her.
Police also charged Kulzer with drug offenses after searching his home. He waived his right to a March 11 court date and has been relased, according to his attorney.
"Mr. Kulzer maintains his innocence and, therefore, the public should not rush to judgement due to the serious nature of the charges," his attorney, Joseph Levin, said.
