Phosphorus military flare washes up on Margate beach LYNDA COHEN Staff Writer The Press of Atlantic City Media Group
A phosphorus flare washed up in Margate today, bringing the Atlantic City Bomb Squad to the beach.
Police said the military signal flare washed up near Cedar Grove at about 1:30 p.m.
The flare — which burns but doesn’t explode — was recovered and will be destroyed later, police said.
