A Ventnor man arrested for burglarizing a car could be responsible for as many as eight burglaries in the past two weeks, police said.

Samuel Starr, 25, was arrested by Sgt. Joseph Fussner and Officer Peter Munizza early Sunday morning an charged with burglarizing a vehicle on North Hillside Ave, Ventnor Police Chief Michael Miller said.

Further investigation by Det. Lt. Steven Ireland and Det. Ted Bergman revealed that Starr was in possession of stolen property taken from Ventnor and Somers Point, Miller said.

Starr was also charged with stealing a Cadillac Escalade from the 5200 block of Ventnor Ave on Feb. 5.

Starr was taken to the Atlantic County jail on $20,000.00 bail.
