MAYS LANDING — A Superior Court judge revoked bail Friday for a Ventnor man accused of human trafficking so that the defendant can enter a drug treatment program in the jail.

Marc Branch, 39, was arrested in October, accused of running a house of prostitution out of his Newport Avenue apartment.

Branch is addicted to cocaine and other drugs, defense attorney James Milita II said.

Milita had wanted the bail lowered, but told Superior Court Judge Kyran Connor that revoking it would allow Branch to enter into the program at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

A Maple Shade man has been charged as a co-defendant in the case and is currently held in the Burlington County jail. The case is expected to be heard in Atlantic County.

That man, Francis Forvour, 46, was arrested Dec. 21 and faces charges including first-degree sexual assault, conspiracy to commit sexual assault, engaging in prostitution and two counts of engaging in prostitution with a person younger than 18.

Forvour is not charged with human trafficking. That charge can carry a life sentence with 20 years without parole.

Branch is accused of luring young men and older teens to his home and then selling their sexual services to clients he solicited on the Internet.

He additionally is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault for allegedly twice drugging a teen who is at least 16, but younger than 18, and allowing a client to sexually assault him.
