Seashore Mothers of Twins Club plans yard sale
Members of the Seashore Mothers of Twins Club will hold a group yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon June 29, at 1007 Bartlett Ave. in Linwood.
More than a dozen families will have hundreds of items ranging from children’s clothing and toys to tools and household items for sale. The rain date is June 30.
SMOTC is a nonprofit group that provides resources, support and friendship for mothers of multiples of all ages, and women pregnant with multiples in Atlantic and Cape May counties. It is affiliated with the New Jersey Association of Twins’ Mothers Clubs and the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc.
SMOTC meets the third Tuesday of the month at the Atlantic County Library, Somers Point Branch, at 7:30 p.m. For more information, email SMOTC@hotmail.com.
Connolly Run set for July 4
The annual Frank Connolly Memorial Northfield Mile Run will take place at 9 a.m. on the Fourth of July at Dolphin Avenue and Shore Road in Northfield.
Registration will be 8 to 8:45 a.m. at that intersection. The entry fee is $5 dollars and all runners receive T-shirts. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, the first Northfield resident to finish, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. CASA information sessions set
CASA for Children of Atlantic and Cape May Counties will information sessions at noon and 6 p.m. July 2 at the CASA office in Somers Point. Another session will take place 11:30 a.m. July 16 at the Mays Landing branch of the Atlantic County Public Library System.
The 60-minute program gives an overview of the organization and shows how CASA volunteers advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children. Attending the session is the first step to becoming a CASA volunteer. Anyone interested should register by calling 609-601-7800 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
