Family Fun Festival set

The Linwood Family Fun Festival will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 on the grounds of Linwood Community Church, 1838 Shore Road. Pony rides and a petting zoo will be from 3 to 5 p.m., with bounce houses, face painting, a dunk tank, competitions, carnival games, free food, and music through the day. The event is free and open to the public. Call 609-927-2950 for more information.


Library offers events

The Otto Bruyns Public Library in Northfield offers events to the community:

10:30 a.m. Aug. 24: Summer celebration for kids 10 years and younger. Zumba class, healthy snacks, storytime and craft.

6:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and 1 p.m. Aug. 27: Learn how to borrow e-books with your e-reader. If you do not have an e-reader but you are interested in owning one, a few will be on display for browsing.

3 p.m. Sept. 11, Book Group 2 discusses ‘The Language of Flowers’ by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

Kulanu School taking registration

The Kulanu School of Jewish Studies is registering students in seventh to 11th grade for the 2013-14 school year.

This year, Kulanu classes will take place at Congregation Beth Israel, 2501 Shore Road, on Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Classes begin Sept. 24. Students do not need to be affiliated with a synagogue to attend.
