Chili cooks wanted
The Knights of Columbus All Saints Council will sponsor its 11th annual John J. Heinz Memorial Chili Cook-Off and Dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Annex at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Wabash and Poplar avenues in Linwood.
There is no entry fee and prizes will be given to the top three chili chefs, as judged by local celebrity judges. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children and $18 for a family of four. Take-out is also available.

The ACFSO is collecting donated new unopened packages of male and female undergarments from children sizes to young adult.
The undergarments are to care for the needs of children during a crisis that ends up in an extended hospital stay.
Donations can be dropped off at the Northfield office, 950 Tilton Road, Suite 108.
All donations will go to Bridgeton Hospital.
Jazz Winter Series continues
Part Two of The Somers Point Jazz Society Winter Series will be held from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Feb. 16 at Gregory’s Restaurant, 900 Shore Road in Somers Point with the Atlantic City Jazz Band, featuring Franny Smith on banjo, Bob Ferguson on trumpet, Tom Angello on drums, Tom Quaile on tuba and Doug Knight on piano.
This night will offer New Orleans traditional jazz in a fun and up-tempo performance.
This performance is scheduled to coincide with Gregory’s Cajun Menu Week.
Admission is free. Donations are appreciated.
