Drug disposal program set
The Margate City Police Department will participate in Operation Take Back from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m April 26.
The event is hosted by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration to collect old prescription medication residents may have in their homes. The collection site will be at the Margate City Police Department, 111 N. Decatur Ave.
Anyone wishing to turn in old prescription medication may do so, in its original container, or by removing medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal boxes. Liquids, such as cough medicine, should remain in the original container with the caps tightly sealed to prevent leakage. No syringes or sharp instruments will be accepted.

11 a.m. April 19, families are invited to Northfield Public Library for Game Day.

3:15 p.m. April 30, celebrate El dia de los ninos / El dia de los libros. The library salutes Hispanic Heritage with multilingual readings, ethnic crafts and foods and music. Call 609-646-4476 to register.
10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 3, Spring Book and Bake Sale in the new event room. Books sorted according to subject, bake tables overflowing with handmade goods. Due to lack of space, book donations should be dropped off no sooner than two weeks before the sale.

VFW to hold meeting
Veterans of Foreign Wars Turner-Bunting-Durkin Post 3361 will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. April 23 at the Post, 601 N. Dorset Ave.
