Chili cooks wanted
The Knights of Columbus All Saints Council will sponsor its 11th annual John J. Heinz Memorial Chili Cook-Off and Dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Annex at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Wabash and Poplar avenues in Linwood.
A full chili buffet dinner will be served and there will be live music. There is no entry fee and prizes will be given to the top three chili chefs, as judged by local celebrity judges. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children and $18 for a family of four. Takeout is also available.

Congregation offers preschool program
Congregation Beth Israel of Northfield will present a special Tu B’shevat program for young families as part of its Beginnings: Parents and Preschoolers series from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Jan. 27 at 2501 Shore Road. The program offers an opportunity to learn about Jewish rituals and traditions through hands-on activities, songs and stories.

The ACFSO is collecting donated new unopened packages of male and female undergarments from children sizes to young adult.
The undergarments are to care for the needs of children during a crisis that ends up in an extended hospital stay.
Donations can be dropped off at the Northfield office, 950 Tilton Road, Suite 108. All donations go to Bridgeton Hospital.
