A 20-year-old Linwood resident was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of armed robbery.

Brian Brackon was arrested by Somers Point police after DNA evidence tied him to the armed robbery of two gas stations, an Exxon and Sunoco, on June 14, 2012, said Chief Michael Boyd.

A T-shirt and knife found in a wooded area near the stations was recovered by police and sent to the New Jersey State Police testing labs, Boyd said.

Police arrived at the scene of the second robbery, which occurred minutes after the first, on June 14, and saw an individual matching the description of Brackon fleeing the scene, Boyd said.

Bail has not been set yet.
