In honor of the American Heart Association’s National Heart Month, Shore Medical Center in Somers Point will hold its 17th annual Heart Day free community health and wellness fair from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in the surgical pavilion lobby. The medical center’s staff will provide educational opportunities and services, including: cholesterol screening, glucose screening, blood pressures, cardiac-risk assessments, stroke-risk assessments, body mass index, diabetes management and tobacco prevention and treatment.
Feb. 1 is also the 10th annual National Wear Red Day — an American Heart Association initiative that encourages everyone to wear red to show support and build awareness of heart health.
