A Pleasantville man charged with the murder of a Somers Point man on Christmas Eve was indicted Tuesday, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said.

An Atlantic County grand jury indicted Lenny R. Ross Jr., 29, on 11 counts, including murder, in the death of Stephen Gurss Jr., 28, McClain said in a release.

Gurss was fatally shot outside the Marina Del Rey Apartments in Pleasantville. Police found Gurss inside his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical, city campus in Atlantic City, where he died the next morning.

Ross was charged with the murder after an investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Pleasantville police. In July, Ross was arrested by Atlantic City police and members of the Atlantic County Major Crimes Unit on the 1100 block of Baltic Avenue.

He was held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $1 million full cash bail.
