A Somers Point man was arrested on a warrant Tuesday when police found him in possession of controlled dangerous substances in a public housing community.
Police arrested Anthony Thorpe, 41, a maintenance worker and resident of Gates Apartments and charged him with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, as well as possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and for unlawful intent, according to Somers Point Chief Michael Boyd.
Thorpe was found in possession of 75 bags of heroin, nine bags of marijuana and seven grams of cocaine, Boyd said.
A 32-caliber revolver was also found and $1,400 in cash was seized, Boyd said.
Thorpe is in jail on $250,000 cash bond. He has 15 previous felony convictions, Boyd said.
