A 22-year-old Somers Point man was shot in the head Saturday morning, acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said Sunday.
In a press release, McClain said that at about 10:30 a.m. police responded to a report of an unresponsive male at the Somers Point Village Apartments on Somers Point - Mays Landing Road.
The victim, who had sustained a gunshot to the head, was transported to the hospital, and he currently remains hospitalized for a life-threatening injury.
The Somers Point Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information should contact Major Crimes at 609-909-7666.
