SOMERS POINT - A mother and her son have been charged with possession of drugs and an imitation weapon, police said Wednesday.

The charges came after police executed a search warrant on a Mays Landing Road apartment after a two month investigation directed by Somers Point Police Officer Peter Burns.

Valorie Rush, 54, was charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and was released on her own recognizance, polie said.

Her son, Teddy Rush, 22, has been charged with possession of drugs, possession with intent to distribute and possession of an imitation weapon while committing drug offenses.

Teddy Rush is being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 cash bail, police said.
