One man was shot and two were injured in a home invasion in Somers Point on Saturday night, police Chief Michael Boyd said.

The shooting took place in the 900 block of New York Avenue, he said.

Police found Edward Hartsough, 28, in his home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, Boyd said. Hartsough's brother Taylor, 21, suffered facial injuries after a punch to the face, while their cousin Matthew Spilane, 23, suffered facial injuries after being struck with a gun, the chief said.

Edward Hartsough was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he was in fair condition.

No descriptions or names of the suspects were available early Sunday morning, Boyd said, and the investigation was continuing.
