Truck catches fire in line at Somers Point bank ATM
A visit to the ATM drive-thru in Somers Point on Tuesday ended in flames.
A pickup in line for the ATM at the Bank of America on New Road ignited shortly before 1:30 p.m., engulfing the truck and damaging portions of the bank, Somers Point Police Lt. Anthony DiSciascio said.
The ATM, roof overhang and exterior wall suffered damage from the fire, DiSciascio said. Despite heavy smoke and flame, there were no injuries, DiSciascio said, and the fire was brought under control.
