Health data is topic

of next TED Talk

The TED Talks continue 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Ocean City Free Public Library, featuring Todd Park, the chief technology officer of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Park's topic is "Faster, higher, smarter: the Olympics? No, Uncle Sam." Park discusses the vast amount of unused national health data and its virtually unlimited potential as an inexpensive resource of new health care solutions for everyone. He then shows how this is already working effectively in Cincinnati's healthcare industry.

After the presentation, a discussion follows. The presentation and discussion are free.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, and TED talks feature experts in a variety of fields who present unique ways of looking at their respective fields of expertise.
