Craft shows canceled

Ocean City has canceled the Holiday Craft Shows set for Nov. 17-18 and the Train Show on Dec. 1-2. For more information, call 609-525-9300.

Recovery project under way

The Ocean City community organizations, along with the City and Chamber, have created an organization called OCNJ CARE (Cleanup And Recovery Effort) Project. This will be the central location for information, to volunteer, donate and request help.

Anyone in need due to Hurricane Sandy is asked to let the chamber know and how they can help. To donate, mail to OCNJ CARE, P.O. Box 807, Ocean City, NJ 08226. The chamber has launched the OCNJ CARE Facebook page; also see ocnjcare.org or call 855-622-2730.

Trail of Two Cities rescheduled

The Trail of Two Cities 5K Run/Walk has been rescheduled for Nov. 17, due to the recent storm.

Registered runners can pick up their race packets Nov. 15 and 16 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, 18th and Simpson, Ocean City. Race morning registration starts 7 a.m. at the Transportation Center in Ocean City at Ninth Street and Haven Avenue, where the run/walk starts. Buses will be available at the finish line at JFK Park in Somers Point to take runners to the start before the race. Buses will transport runners back to Ocean City at the conclusion of the race. The 5K Run awards ceremony will take place at JFK Park after all 5K runners have finished. All walk participants will be able to see their time as they complete the course.

Sponsors sought for First Night

The First Night Committee in Ocean City is seeking sponsors and advertisements for 2013 First Night and the event program book. Not only will your message reach the local community, but thousands of visitors to the area. First Night is a non-alcoholic celebration held Dec. 31 that has grown over the years and attracts thousands of visitors to enjoy the entertainment venues available throughout the afternoon and evening.
