Register now for Night in Venice
Boat, home and condo registrations are now being taken for Night in Venice, which starts at 6 p.m. July 20. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries in all three categories and entry is free.
The optional theme this year is “The Good Old Summer Time,” but entrants may select any theme they wish. All entrants receive a commemorative mug featuring the theme. Boat participants will be given a $50 bank card to help with decorating costs. New this year, the judging procedure for houses and condos has been changed. It will be done this year after the parade begins. Judges for these categories will be in the third lead boat of the parade, which will be marked. When homeowners see this lead boat entering their waterway, they know their entry is about to be judged.
Registration for all categories is being taken at ocnj.us/niv or at the Community Service Offices, second floor of City Hall, Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue. Call 609-525-9300 or email email@example.com.
