During the ceremony honoring his grandfather, Ted Prior, William Seda, 2, of Rosenhayn, pointed to a photograph of Prior playing guitar.
Carol Prior, of Galloway Township, removed a red cloth to reveal the plaque honoring her husband, Ted, an Elvis impersonator and friend to Ocean City who passed away last year from cancer. It reads, ‘In Fond Memory Ted Prior. Ocean City’s Forever Elvis.’
Neil Regina, former manager for Elvis performer Ted Prior, said it was an honor to be Prior’s manager and that it was always fun.
Destiny Seda, 10, of Rosenhayn, was among those attending the event honoring her grandfather, Ted Prior.
Ted Prior's wife, daughters, and grandchildren gathered around a plaque honoring him Nov. 17 during a ceremony at the Music Pier in Ocean City. Attendees of the ceremony honoring Ted Prior listened as family friend Jeanne Lord, of the Palermo section of Upper Township, shared a story about him. Lord used to make the scarves Prior used with his Elvis outfits.
Ted Prior's family and friends applauded as Mark Soifer, Ocean City's public relations director, recited a poem about him.
