Ocean City students take part in project to create Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

Ocean City Intermediate School seventh-grade teacher Katie Merz hand-delivered the 'Snowflakes for Sandy Hook' made by the students and staff of Ocean City Intermediate School. Merz dropped them off at a warehouse in Monroe, Conn., where the new school building is located. Behind her are two maps, one of the United States and one of the world, both scattered with push pins representing places that have supported Sandy Hook Elementary School by participating in the project. Merz is holding a picture of one of OCIS’s fourth- grade classes holding the snowflakes they made.
