Crews finished the dismantling of the structure Friday afternoon. The tower, which stood 125 feet tall when the work began early Thursday morning, was no longer visible 36 hours later.

The tower had been unused for years and the New Jersey American Water Co. decided to take it down. Workers dismantled it piece by piece. The materials will be recycled at a scrap yard.
