MIDDLE TOWNSHIP — Two alleged Bloods gang members were arrested on attempted murder and weapons charges Thursday night.

Andre “Pooie” Moore, 25 and Malcom “X” Jones, 25, both of Middle Township, are accused of firing at least four shots at 8:30 p.m. at a house on the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue in the Burleigh section of the township

A female resident suffered a graze wound to her face but refused medical treatment, Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor said.

The two suspects were arrested at a residence in Cape May Court House, Taylor said. Authorities said both men are believed to be members of the Bloods street gang

Taylor said there are indications that there is a power struggle within the local Bloods gang. There have also been recent, unreported shootings at this residence as well as throughout Cape May County, Taylor said

The two are charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possessing a weapon by certain persons not to have weapons.

They were transported to Cape May County jail on $100,000 bail.
