Police say calm festival so far, no arrests, no injuries
ATLANTIC CITY - Officials said the Dave Matthews Band Caravan music festival has been calm so far, with less than an hour to go until gates open for its second of three days.
Police reported no car accidents with injuries, felony arrests or other major incidents during or following yesterday's show, Atlantic City Sgt. Monica McMenamin said today.
Four people went to the hospital yesterday for heat exhaustion and intoxication yesterday, she added.
McMenamin estimated about 25,000 people attended the show Friday, and 30,000 are expected for the next two. If those predictions pan out, the event should generate about $32.3 million for the local economy.
