ATLANTIC CITY - Traffic is gridlocked along Ventnor and Atlantic avenues leading up to the monument just past the foot of the Albany Avenue bridge _ less than a half-mile from Bader Field where the third and final day of the Dave Matthew Band Caravan is underway.

Traffic is also starting to slow on the outbound side of Albany Avenue, where it is down to one lane to accommodate the 30,000 expected fans who are walking to the venue from nearby hotels, parking lots and taxi and public transportation dropoffs.

Both lanes are open and traffic is moving as usual on the inbound side of the road. Police may shut down the street later if they think it best, but so far have held off from doing so until after the concert lets out around 11 p.m. Tonight's show is expected to end one hour earlier.
