The annual Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant gala held March 13 raised $152,000 for student scholarships and Atlantic Cape Foundation operations, the school announced today.

Bally’s hosted the 31st annual iteration of the fundraiser, which showcases nearly 40 of the region’s top restaurants. This year’s fundraiser featured the theme “The Greatest Gala on Earth” and showcased the talents of students at the school’s Academy of Culinary Arts. They prepared thousands of hot and cold hors doeuvres served during the cocktail reception.

The Atlantic Cape Foundation honored 1984 Academy of Culinary Arts graduate Peter Slavin, creative director and ice sculptor at Fear No Ice Philly. Also honored were Anthony Catanoso and Steel Pier Associates.

Event sponsors included Caesars Foundation, Bally’s and Borgata. A 50/50 raffle raised $10,350 for college scholarships.

The 2015 Gala will be held March 26 at Bally’s.
