EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Township police are trying to identify a woman who may have started a fire inside the Dollar General Store in the Cardiff Plaza shopping center on Nov. 25.

The fire was started about 5 p.m. and triggered the store’s sprinkler system. Police say the fire caused minor damage, but the store had considerable water damage due to the sprinklers.

The store’s surveillance cameras provided an image of the woman, described as a white female, possibly 40 years old with a medium build and wearing glasses. She was wearing a jacket and hooded sweatshirt with a paw print emblem from Lacey Township.

Police say the woman is a person of interest at this time. No charges have been filed.

Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to contact Detective Robert Harte of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department at 609-926-4010.
