ATLANTIC CITY — Looking for a way to enjoy the Atlantic City Airshow without fighting the expected crowd of 750,000?

Consider setting up a chair along the beaches in Atlantic City, Brigantine or Ventnor on Tuesday for airshow pratice, which will run from about 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Not all acts participate in pratice, and the booming announcements of the aircrafts and performance groups across loudspeakers will be missing. Still a majority of Wednesday’s free show can be seen a day early. Participating acts follow roughly the same schedule on pratice day and show day.

The practice allows pilots to get better acquainted with the airspace.

Because the show takes place over the ocean, pilots look to piers and boats stationed throughout the water to keep their bearings rather than the usual runways and buildings used as markers at shows over airports and other land-based venues.
