Mother and daughter Karen and Kelsey Bowden of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, camped in Port Republic before coming to the show.
Kelsey, 20, came last year and brought her mom with her this year, arriving before 7 a.m. to get a good spot on the beach.
"We beat traffic, got a good parking spot, we're OK," said Karen Bowden.
She stopped and pointed in the distance, out from under the shade of her umbrella.
"Where'd they come from?" she said as New York Air National Guard parachutists descended to the water. "It's amazing how they have pin-point accuracy."
