Barbara Camper serves as Atlantic City's equal opportunity employment officer.

She grew up near James Usry, who would become the city's first black mayor in 1984.

Barbara worked at the Arctic YMCA - shut out of jobs at other companies.

She also attended dances at the All-Wars Memorial Building - one of the few remaining buildings from the Northside's height.
