Juanita High grew up in Atlantic City, and spent her career in education.

Her time at the New Jersey Avenue School played a big role on her childhood and career path.

During childhood, Juanita and her friends would play in the streets and visit Steel Pier. People left their doors unlocked then.

Later, she served as executive assistant to the president and assistant to the affirmative action officer at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

She also served as past director of the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund - and chaired the Atlantic County Improvement Authority.
