March '62 Storm: Lessons Learned?

Just a tyke at the time but honestly do remember much very vividly. My Father was a police officer in Stone Harbor at the time. he could not come home for days.

I remember my Mother tossing clothes and blankets across the flood waters to him and thermoses of coffee and as many sandwiches as we had provisions to make.

I remember a drive to Court House for food a few days later, the car bogging down in all the sand and driftwood covering the boulevard, having to steer around HOUSES in the road.
