Atlantic County set up a disaster hotline at 866-704-4636 so residents and visitors can get updates on road conditions, spokeswoman Linda Gilmore said.

The county is surveying storm damage but is considering contingencies such as cooling centers for residents who have no power or air-conditioning, she said.

“Atlantic County is still in a state of emergency, so we’re asking residents for their cooperation to stay off the roadways to help everyone do their jobs,” she said.
