Acquisitive Stockton flexes its financial muscle

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is a major property holder in the region and has been expanding. Last year, the college bought the Seaview Resort - a sprawling hotel, golf and spa resort along Reed's Bay in Galloway Township - for $20 million. The more-than-670-acre resort was the latest in a growing list of Stockton properties. They include:

Galloway Township

• Main Campus - 1640 acres, mostly Pinelands

• North of Pomona Road -227 acres

• Southeast of Duerer Street - 52 acres

• 50 W. Jimmie Leeds Road -

5 acres

• Parkway Building (former Verizon Building) Jimmie Leeds Road - 5 acres

• Noyes Museum (lease agreement)

Linwood

• 300 Shore Road

Atlantic City

• The Carnegie Library Center

• Dante Hall (lease agreement)

Port Republic

• Nacote Creek Marine Science Center

Hamilton Township

• 117 acres along the Atlantic City Expressway (donated)

Hammonton

• Front Street building to be developed into branch campus

Mays Landing

• SRI/ETTC building on Route 50 (lease agreement)
