La Fontana Ristorante in Margate is preparing to host another fun-filled night of food, drink and entertainment with an evening of live opera and Broadway classics on Friday, May 1.

Restaurant owner and host Fausto Berardi will present professional singers from Nancy Fox's "Opera by the Sea," including operatic baritone Howard Dean, Fox and and "singing lawyer" Ward Saxton. Budding soprano Kelly Bruce will also make a guest appearance, as the quartet will offer an elegant evening of fun, laughter and song. Pianist Liliya Khobotkova will accompany.

Of course, the main reason to go is La Fontana's food. The five-course meal will include soup (pasta fagiole), choice of appetizers (Caprese and roasted peppers, eggplant rollatini, mussels, red or white, or Caesar salad with chicken), pasta (Ravioli in a red sauce, penne alla vodka, pappardelle bolognese) and main course (chicken piccata, veal scallopine or tilapia Livornese) as well as desserts and coffee.

At $39.95 per person, Berardi is anticipating a full house, reaching about 160 people. Reservations are still available and should be made for anyone wishing to attend.
