A little slice of North Carolina is coming to southern New Jersey this weekend, and it's a show you definitely don't want to miss. He Is Legend, a band about to tour the United States, is making a pit stop at Hangar 84 in Vineland, for one night only, on Friday, June 15.

He Is Legend has been pumping out albums and singles, including its biggest hit, "The Primary Blues," and it's almost time for its third, full-length release entitled "It Hates You," which will go on sale July 21. The CD will be released on Tragic Hero Records, and you can get some audio samples Friday when you check out He Is Legend at Hangar 84.

Something a little more saucy is happening Friday night in Atlantic City. It's the kickoff of Girasole Ristorante's Skyy Nights weekly event.

On Sunday, June 14, take a one-way train to Margaritaville as the Jersey Shore Parrot Head Club of Atlantic and Cape May counties holds its annual family picnic, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Harry Bowen Memorial Field in Port Republic.

You can bank on Jimmy Buffett style music, games and children's activities such as face painting, softball and swimming at the Port Republic beach. Besides all the fun and games is a whole lot of charity, as $2,500 will be donated to local charities at this Parrot Head event.
