It's time to get a California kick in the pants this weekend - in a fashionable sense. Ed Hardy, a West-Coast fashion label known for its tattoo style graphics and sexy silhouettes, comes to the East Coast for the Ed Hardy Swimwear Show, happening on Saturday, June 27, at The Pool at Harrah's Resort.
Deemed one of the "hottest" nights of the year in A.C., be a part of the show, where sexy male and female models will be strutting their stuff in designer duds made for the Ed Hardy 2010 swimwear collection.
Returning for another successful year, Ed Hardy Swimwear, which is based on the tattoo art of California tattoo artist Don Ed Hardy, keeps its look fashion forward with an eclectic mix of designs, colors and fabrics.
"This season was created to cater to different taste levels with a focus on edgy details such as pop colors, repetitive patterns, distressed vintage washes, embroidery, foils and unique screen-printing techniques," says Fawn Arthur, creative director for Sea and Sun, the premier manufacturer of Ed Hardy Swimwear.
Offering three sets throughout the night, the show, produced by JEM Entertainment, will give The Pool nightlife crowd a glimpse of what will be trendiest swimwear on beaches around the world this year.
Hair and makeup is provided by Larimar Salon at The Pier Shops at Caesars and Vive Day Spa at the Showboat Casino-Hotel.
The 2010 contemporary swimwear collection offers "mix and match" separates, Lurex fabrics and unique embellishments including custom hardware. Sublimation printing will further enhance the Original Group ("OG") collection, best recognized by the traditional "Don Ed Hardy" design tagline, and Corruption, a collection dedicated to red, black and white.
"Ed Hardy is a lifestyle brand focused on creating a great product," Arthur says. "To summarize our style, we are a Cali-inspired brand where Dogtown skater meets Mad Max meets urban-retro-chic."
A DJ will mix music throughout the night. Be there by 10 p.m. for one sexy, poolside, summer night. Call Harrah's at 609-441-5165.
After a hard night of partying with models in swimsuits, make a run for the Bally's Bikini Beach Bar for Recovery Sundays, now sponsored by The Press of Atlantic City's At The Shore magazine. Combining the great tunes of DJ Brother Mike, who starts at noon, you'll be treated to a great lineup of live music. This Sunday brings out Grape Street Riot at 6 p.m., Fuzzy Bunny Slippers at 7 p.m., Steve Brown and The Fallout at 8 p.m. and Lucky You at 9 p.m. On top of all that intense rock 'n' roll, don't forget to get some rest 'n' relaxation, too!
